An avid animal lover Morgan recognised the opportunity to democratize the pet care industry following a trip to the vet with his dog Milky. He recognised the need for convenient, stress-free and transparent services within the veterinary industry. He wanted to make a change that would benefit pet owners and veterinarians alike. That change was Vets on Call. Morgan completed his studies at The University of Melbourne graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Commerce. He started his career working with the property conglomerate Lend Lease in various project management and property development roles across both Victoria and NSW on projects ranging from $16m-550m. He launched Vets on Call in 2017 with tech partners Nathan Sinnott and Rael Kuperholz.
Magda is a talented senior veterinarian with deep general practice and emergency experience. An entrepreneur at heart, Magda followed her love of animals and desire to share her experience in launching an online vet training business, focused on mentoring and guiding new veterinary graduates and students. Magda completed her studies at The University of Life Science in Warsaw graduating with a title of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Master study), then she passed the extremely difficult NVA exams to be able to practice in Australia. She joined Vets on Call in 2018 and became an integral part of the growing business. Magda's contribution to Vets on Call has proven invaluable, expanding our clinical network, mentoring and supporting our extensive veterinary network and strengthening our relationships across the industry. Magda is also responsible for Vet recruitment, onboarding and training, pharmaceuticals, complex case review, and quality standards across our Veterinary operations.
With a background in technology and consulting, Nathan is an experienced tech entrepreneur. With a number of successful tech company ventures, in 2008 Nathan founded Newpath Web, a full service digital agency grown from the ground up to operate in 3 countries employing over 300 staff. Nathan founded Vets on Call in 2017 along with Morgan & Rael after recognising the opportunity to disrupt the Veterinarian and pet care market with an innovative tech solution. Nathan is our Chief Operating Officer, overseeing end to end operations of our business.
Ben's expertise is in designing digital products and tools. By merging design strategy with nearly 20 years of commercial experience, Ben has helped many businesses successfully develop their digital capability. Ben became our Chief Technology Officer in 2018, leading our product development roadmap from both a UX/UI and tech stack perspective. Ben is certified in Nintex, Keap, Blockchain design (Academy Xi), Dynamics365 and has won awards for software design and solution architecture.
An electrical engineer by trade, Rael emigrated from South Africa to Australia in 1981. After a range of senior roles in engineering, Rael started his first business in 1991, an IT systems integration company – Integration Design. In 1995 Rael started a national ISP - Planet Internet, selling both businesses in 1999. In 2000 Rael started Workspace 365, and in 2008 started Newpath Web in partnership with our COO Nathan Sinnott. In 2017 Rael co-founded and joined Vets on Call as our finance & strategy director, overseeing financial operations of the business and financial governance along with helping set strategy and future growth.
Nick started his career in manufacturing then moved to finance and then, in the mid 90s founded a national dial-up modem based ISP, StarNet. This grew, and a controlling share in Planet Internet was acquired, before the combined business was sold in 1999. After a well deserved rest, Nick founded the successful SMS messaging business, 3Bells, selling this business a few years later. Nicks successful technology career was followed by time in a business he owned importing & wholesaling children's toys. Since that time, in addition to investing in a number of start up technology businesses, Nick has managed his family's extensive commercial property portfolio. Nick brings sound commercial, governance, sales, growth strategy, legal and financial skills to Vets on Call, acting as an adviser to the board, and also to our CEO Morgan. Nicks insight, experience, and trusted advice is valued by the business.
